International Day Against Police Violence – WORKSHOP WEEK 2022

Here you can find all Flyers. Please share and invite your friends!

On March 15, we commemorate the International Day against Police Violence. Again this year we want to organize different events on this day.

On  March 15 we want to send messages of solidarity to all those affected by police violence: We see you, you are not alone in this! And we keep on fighting!

Solidarity for all those people whose daily lives include constant threats from the police. Whose stories are too often told by others. Be it by the media, the judiciary or politics, while police officers are taken into protection for acts of violence. When those affected are systematically criminalized and humiliated, while there is always talk of individual perpetrators and isolated incidents. We are angry. We are hurt. We are frustrated.

We find hope and the will to go on in different things: organizing together, discussing and being together as well as imagining a world without the police. That is why we want to create those events following March 15 together with you, to dance, discuss and learn.

All events take place online and have a limited number of participants. You can send us registrations and questions at any time via e-mail to workshops_bigsibling@riseup.net

(GER) 15.

(GER) 17. MÄRZ, 18:00 – Workshop: Was macht uns sicher? für Personen, die Rassismus erleben

Was oder wer macht uns sicher?

Increased controls and continuous right-wing protests during the pandemic mean that we are made more than ever exposed to dangerous police controls and aggression. Spaces to heal, share our pain and joy have become scarce. Therefore, BigSibling invites you to a virtual Dance and Healing Space.

We are glad that Mzamo is going to host the space and a dancing workshop. Mzamo is a queer non-binary artist from Johannesburg, South Africa. Mzamo’s work is primarily concerned with marginalized bodies and invisible knowledge.
